A Brief History of the School

The school was founded in 1999. It was christened ESC Model College and was located at No 44, UI/Secretariat Road, New Bodija, Ibadan. This secondary school was an offshoot of Eduserve Consult, a continuing education centre which ran Cambridge O & A level programs, and some remedial courses.

The school started with 7 students under its first principal, Dr (Mrs) T. E. Ojo. Adewunmi Abel-Adenuga and was the first student to be enrolled.

On the 19^th of June 2009 a team of inspiring officials from the Ministry of Education paid the school a scheduled visit to ascertain its preparedness to present candidates for the JSCE examinations. Their comments were satisfactory, hence the school produced her first set of candidates to sit for the JSS exams in 2002.

As the school grew in population, it gained in population, it gained a new principal in the person of Mrs O. O. Oladele. She was principal from 2001 to 2004. It was at this time that the school song was composed by Mr Johnson Bown.

The school moved into it’s purpose-built premises located at NO.4 Baale Osuntoki Street in July 2005. The school had all the basic facilities in place (standard laboratories, library, art room, hall, school court, music room e.t.c) and metamorphosed into Edufix International School, Jericho.In 2008, the management acquired new premises at NO.3, Baale Mosaderin Road, Jericho.

The school held its 15^th anniversary celebration in 2014. The celebration commenced with a tree-planting on 18 July, 2014. The tree named “Crystal” was planted by an alumnus of the school.

In 2015, construction work on the school’s ultra-modern sports complex comprising of astro-turf football pitch, a 450-seater spectator stand,  swimming pool, athletics track, basketball, volley ball and badminton courts commenced. The commissioning of the complex took place in December, 2015.

The school is now 20 years old. Through the years the school has produced several graduates who are doing well in their various endeavors all over the world. We have organized countless excursions, attended lots of competitions, workshops, and the likes.
